Why I started TheSwingingMace?

Why did I start TheSwingingMace? Well, it all began when I found myself in a bit of a gym predicament – all three gyms I joined closed down, leaving me feeling frustrated and out of shape. I had gained some unwanted weight, and the thought of going back to another dull and monotonous gym was just not appealing. So, I turned to resistance bands, hoping for a fresh start. They were great, but after a while, even they couldn't hold my interest. I needed something more exciting and long-lasting.

As fate would have it, I stumbled upon a video featuring Modern Sadhu and the prince of Bhavnagar wielding mudgars. Intrigued, I dug deeper and found The Shredded Farmer and The Flowing Dutchman, both masters of this ancient art form. Watching them swing those mudgars with such finesse sparked something within me.

I decided to give mudgar training a try, and boy, am I glad I did! Not only did I feel stronger, but I also shed some pounds along the way. It was like discovering a hidden treasure that had been waiting for me all along.

My journey didn't stop there. I embarked on a pilgrimage to Banaras (aka Varanasi or Kaashi), seeking knowledge and wisdom from the Akharas. Immersing myself in the traditions of mudgar training, I learned that it's not just a passing fad – it's a timeless practice rooted in ancient Indian wisdom.

That's when the idea for TheSwingingMace was born. I felt a deep calling to preserve and promote this culture, ensuring that future generations don't forget the power of traditional Indian fitness practices. With the rise of modern gyms and equipment, I feared that this rich heritage was at risk of being lost.

So, I founded TheSwingingMace with a mission in mind – to revive the ancient Indian wisdom of physical well-being and make it accessible to everyone in today's fast-paced world. Our roots run deep in the soil of Indian culture, where physical strength and spiritual well-being go hand in hand.

At TheSwingingMace, we believe that fitness is not just about building muscle but about harmonizing the mind, body, and spirit. These equipments and training methodologies are designed to foster holistic health, drawing from centuries-old practices that have stood the test of time.
